The Crash Engine began in Eugene, Oregon in 2003, when three young musicians, frustrated with current popular music, decided to make the sounds that they wanted to hear. The result was a high energy explosion of melody and raw guitars that continues to resonate in the ears of their fans. After releasing two EPs and completing two US tours, they set their sights on moving to Portland, Oregon, a musically magnetic city with a flourishing scene, to record their first full length record "Extravagaria." Upon its completion in early 2007 the album has been well received by fans and lauded for its accessibility and musical depth. In addition, the Crash Engine has had their music featured in the Independent film "Last Man Running" and one of their most crowd pleasing songs "The Sky Retreats" will appear on this years critically acclaimed Emo Diaries compilation.
